We know it's cheesy and maybe even cringe when a dog rescue parent says, “Who really saved who?” But that doesn't make the sentiment any less true, because rescues really do rescue their humans right back with unconditional love. Take Eddie, this sweetie found in rough shape on the streets.
Lucy Baehr posted on TikTok how some random black dog was walking along the street and went right to her car. She brought the pup to work and they found some wounds and that he was pretty dirty, but other than that he was very very sweet and well-behaved. She took him home to get him cleaned up and to find him his own furever family. She fully intended to only foster this guy, since she and her husband already have their hands full with a dog and their toddler daughters. However, they quickly came to realize that he wasn't an extra stress in their life, but quite the opposite.
The pup, whom they have now named Eddie, quickly became besties with Baehr and her kids. Her toddler daughters especially become bonded to Eddie. Now, she had to decide if separating this dog, who had probably already been through so much, from his newfound family. Luckily, she too had fallen in love with the doggo and has officially welcomed Eddie into their family forever.
